Economic Cluster
The Economic Cluster refers to a coordinated grouping of economic sectors and policy areas that focus on production, economic growth, employment generation, macroeconomic stability, and structural transformation. It promotes integrated research that supports sustainable and inclusive economic development. The Amhara Region State University (ARSU) is established with the primary mandate of conducting studies and research and initiating policies and strategies that contribute to regional and national development. In line with this mandate, the University undertakes economic research aimed at generating evidence, formulating policy recommendations, and advising on strategic issues essential for the country’s economic transformation.

Social Cluster
A Social Cluster refers to a group of interrelated social sectors or thematic areas that focus on enhancing human wellbeing, social protection, equity, and community development. It brings together sectors that directly influence people’s quality of life, social justice, and overall human development. The Social Cluster is organized into the following research areas:

Governance and Institutional Building Affairs
Governance and Institutional Building Affairs examines how public institutions are designed, structured, managed, and strengthened to deliver effective, accountable, and transparent governance.
